Help is Available
Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) provide skill-building tools to help symptoms and behaviors of diagnosed psychiatric disorders.
Behavioral Health Intervention Services helps children develop and use skills to overcome or better manage their disorder(s). At the same time, BHIS can provide parents and caregivers the tools they need to help their children.
Did you know?
Children and young adults between the ages of 4 and 20, with Title 19 insurance, are eligible to benefit Behavioral Health Intervention Services. Your child’s BHIS provider will develop and implement a plan to support the treatment recommended by their therapist or doctor.
To receive Behavioral Health intervention Services, your child must first receive an assessment from a Licensed Practitioner. If you do not have not done this already, you can schedule an appointment with our therapy team by calling 319-261-2292. Once they have received an order for services from their provider, your child will be referred to our BHIS team for care.
