Get to know Brittany

A member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Brittany Orzola welcomes fellow members of the community with open arms, as well as people of all backgrounds and identities needing a safe place to be heard and understood. Be ready to laugh!

One of the first things you will notice in meeting Brittany is her sense of humor. At the same time, she is down to earth, non-judgmental, and realistic. Life doesn’t come with an instruction book or a one-size-fits-all set of rules and she gets that. She is here for you with real conversations to help you grow into the best version of yourself and overcome things that life has thrown your way.

Hard work gets results.

Brittany absolutely loves celebrating successes with the individuals and families in her care. She’s had the pleasure in seeing how hard work can pay off. Brittany enjoys seeing people’s faces light up with pride in their achievements. Seeing a person grow before your eyes, even when they don’t notice it yet themselves, is an amazing thing.

That said, everything isn’t cotton candy and rainbows. Brittany is also grateful to be a comforting support for individuals during times of struggle. Everyone faces challenges at some point. She knows those times can feel extremely difficult and lonely — having someone to talk to in those moments can make all the difference. Personally, Brittany has struggled with anxiety over the course of her life. Learning and using mindfulness techniques to cope with and manage symptoms has been lifechanging.

Are you ready for some football?

How ’bout those CHIEFS! Brittany is a die hard Kansas City Chiefs fan and openly welcomes anyone to challenge her belief that they are the best team in the NFL. When she needs to calm down from a particularly exciting game (Chiefs vs Bills in the 2021 Playoffs, for example), you’ll find Brittany playing the guitar or writing. She also finds peace in nature, especially the ocean which calls to her everyday. She is a plant collector and has a hobby of trying to save the sad little ones on the clearance racks. Brittany and her loving wife are also moms to three humans and six fur babies.

If you are ready to laugh, cry, or anything in between and are looking for a safe place to reach your goals, please reach out, Brittany would love to help.

Get direction for your life!

Most of our poor decisions and behaviors that we wish we could re-do are driven by our feelings. In most cases we are probably reacting from an emotion and not even really thinking!

ODD is one of the most common behavioral disorders among kids. Unfortunately, people exhibiting these behaviors are sometimes mislabeled as "naughty" or "bad," which can be damaging.

Regulate your emotions and then engage in co-regulation with your teen from a place of curiosity and compassion.
