Rodney’s passion is helping people experience greater positive emotion and enjoyment in life. He has years of experience working with a variety of clients including individuals, couples, and adolescents.

Rodney draws from various approaches to support healthy change.  He also builds on six core dimensions of wellness (e.g., exercise/movement, nutrition, leisure) in the counseling process. Rodney is also credentialed as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.

In addition to mental health counseling, Rodney is a faculty member at the University of Northern Iowa in the Department of Health, Recreation and Community Services and is an affiliated faculty member in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program.
