"It's okay not to be okay. Even if you are not entirely sure about what you are going through or are having doubts about your mental health, I would love for you to come and see me."

It goes without saying, mental health is very important and very personal. Never is this more important than when it impacts someone you care for and love. In her case, Chelsea’s mom has battled depression since she was a child. Having witnessed her mother’s battle with depression, Chelsea realized she wanted to help others that were struggling with life stressors.

Mental Health is Personal

It goes without saying, mental health is very important and very personal. Never is it more important than when it impacts someone you care for and love. In her case, Chelsea’s mom has battled depression since she was a child. Her mom’s mental health struggles increased even more when she was diagnosed at an early age with breast cancer.

Having witnessed her mother’s battle with depression, Chelsea realized she wanted to help others that were struggling with life stressors. It is not uncommon for people to not know how to ask for help for themselves because they are so used to taking care of their loved ones. Chelsea hopes to be that bridge of support for individuals finding themselves with similar struggles.

Your Healthcare is Personal

As your mental health provider, Chelsea sees you as an independent individual who deserves your very own unique treatment plan. Starting from the first day you meet, she will work with you to develop that medication plan, making adjustments along the way as needed. Chelsea promises to listen to your needs and to only make decisions based on trusted research along with your continued input.

Your mental health is her priority. Chelsea will work to identify the best medications for your symptoms. To do that, she will work to earn your trust and build a strong therapeutic relationship. Together, you and Chelsea will accelerate your personal growth and development.

A Real Person

When she is not at the office, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her two daughters. Together, they enjoy hiking, biking, fishing, and kayaking. A native of Wisconsin, Chelsea LOVES the Packers and 49ers. (Don’t worry, she will not hold it against you if you root for the Vikings, Packers, or Chiefs.) Chelsea also loves to grill and bake up gameday goodies.

If you are ready to tackle your mental health head on, please reach out to request an appointment with Chelsea. She promises to keep it real and support you as you work to unleash your potential.

Mental health medications and a holistic lifestyle can't just only coexist, the combination can be a game changer for mental health.

You may be faced with the question, “Does my child need medication for their mental health?” If your child is worried, sad, angry, or overwhelmed, encourage them to talk to a trusted adult. If they are struggling with things like regulating emotions, controlling anger, or focusing it may be a good idea to discuss it with a medical professional.

While we cannot change the past, it IS possible to stop the cycle of intergenerational trauma and prevent it in future generations. Community support and resources play an important role.
