Get to know Debra

Deb Prier has over 30 years of experience working in substance use and mental health programs. As a result of her expertise, she has presented at several national and state conferences on the topic of Addictions.

Roots in Providing Compassionate Care

Deb began as a therapist, working with individuals struggling with substance use disorders for 15 years before becoming the executive director. In that role, she ensured that the clinic was abiding by best practices and keeping treatment solutions up to date. She is able to build on these skills as she holds Covenant Family Solutions to a high-quality standard. Deb has also worked as a clinician and supervisor in an outpatient gambling treatment program. In this role, she helped develop TreatmentFirst, an online counseling tool.

She has also witnessed the consequences of substance use within her own network, and understands the toll it can take on the entire family. With the help of therapy, she has seen her own family strengthen bonds and grow together, overcoming challenges in the process. For this reason, and many others, she loves the work she does.

A Strong Leader

Debra is compassionate leader. Despite traveling between locations throughout the week, she still takes notice of employees who are struggling, and makes it a point to sit down with them and find a solution together. She is proud to help lead such a supportive team every single day.

Outside of work, you can find her spending time with her family and supporting her kids with their various adventures and activities.

Get direction for your life!

Mental health medications and a holistic lifestyle can't just only coexist, the combination can be a game changer for mental health.

You may be faced with the question, “Does my child need medication for their mental health?” If your child is worried, sad, angry, or overwhelmed, encourage them to talk to a trusted adult. If they are struggling with things like regulating emotions, controlling anger, or focusing it may be a good idea to discuss it with a medical professional.

While we cannot change the past, it IS possible to stop the cycle of intergenerational trauma and prevent it in future generations. Community support and resources play an important role.
