Dubuque is Home

She and her husband live in a small town with their young son. And, while Emily no longer lives on a farm, her house often feels like one. Their family pets include include a puppy, four cats, two bunnies, and a tortoise. Unfortunately for her husband, their son loves all the critters as much as she does, so who knows what they will end up with next!

Get direction for your life!

Emotions are stupid

Most of our poor decisions and behaviors that we wish we could re-do are driven by our feelings. In most cases we are probably reacting from an emotion and not even really thinking!

Oppositional Defiant Disorder

ODD is one of the most common behavioral disorders among kids. Unfortunately, people exhibiting these behaviors are sometimes mislabeled as "naughty" or "bad," which can be damaging.

Connecting With Your Teen

Regulate your emotions and then engage in co-regulation with your teen from a place of curiosity and compassion.
