Experienced and Compassionate

In her work in mental health, Erin has had the privilege to be trusted to serve people who have experienced great trauma. Through this work, she has seen the impact that acceptance, nonjudgement, empathy, and understanding can make to a person working to overcome their situations. Helping people to navigate their deepest, darkest, and shaming moments is a humbling experience. Erin is honored to be able to help people understand that they are not alone and that there is hope.

You are not alone.

Every person’s life is filled with twists and turns. Those twists and turns can knock us down even farther when we believe we are already at our lowest point. In a perfect world, we would all be happy all the time, and nothing would ever hold us back. Unfortunately, life is not like that. Sometimes we need to admit to ourselves that we need some extra help, and that is okay. And sometimes the answers we seek are inside ourselves but may be impossible to find. Allowing another person in to provide us with insights can give us a brighter tomorrow.

Erin wants you to know that it takes incredible strength and courage to be able to process intense emotions. Related, exploring the potential causes of our suffering takes time and requires self-compassion. She understands and empathize with the ambivalence you may be experiencing and is here to help.

Erin is not here to “fix” you.

You are not broken. You are worthy. Erin’s role is to help you navigate this journey we call “life.” She will provide you with the tools you need to become the best version of you. Know this: Her goal is not to “fix” you. Instead, she wants to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental space where you can work together to help you reach your goals.

Erin wants your to feel comfortable from the moment you walk through the door. She will be real and authentic with you. We are all people and everyone has their moments that they need support from others. That’s why she is here to help.

Get direction for your life!

Most of our poor decisions and behaviors that we wish we could re-do are driven by our feelings. In most cases we are probably reacting from an emotion and not even really thinking!

ODD is one of the most common behavioral disorders among kids. Unfortunately, people exhibiting these behaviors are sometimes mislabeled as "naughty" or "bad," which can be damaging.

Regulate your emotions and then engage in co-regulation with your teen from a place of curiosity and compassion.
