Jamiee Murphy, tLMHC welcomes individuals from all walks of life. It is important to her to offer support and act as a cheerleader for the individuals that she works with.
Motivation
Mental health needs have always been present in her life, whether it was her friends, family, or her own struggles. For this reason, she was inspired to become a therapist. It is rewarding to help others navigate those same hardships. Even on the difficult days, she is reminded of her “why” each time she is able to witness a person put in the work and celebrate their successes.
“Toolbox”
A large part of what Jamiee likes to focus on is equipping people with the tools they need to succeed. For instance, using a creative and supportive environment allows her to help identify healthy coping skills. Similarly to other skills, practicing is key. Keeping these “tools” in your “toolbox” is a great way to build and form positive habits.
Similarly, it’s important to her to be relatable, down to earth, and to use humor when applicable. She also guides and encourages others to conquer their goals and overcome the road blocks that are in their way. Another thing that Jamiee values is the importance of being ourselves, and she encourages individuals to embrace who they are.
Outside of session, Jamiee enjoys reading, writing, and crafting in her personal time. Additionally, she spends time with her pets.
