Meet Jeff

Jeff Brookens, MBA, MA, tLMFT works with individuals, couples, and families looking to improve their mental wellness and relationships. Are you motivated and ready to make changes to improve your life? If so, Jeff is here to help support you with tools you need to make it happen.

Life can be difficult

Life can be hard and some phases of life can challenge us more than others. Jeff supports people through many of these tough spots. He has counseled men through postpartum depression (yes, guys can get it too), divorce, military-specific struggles, and various life transitions. Please know that Jeff gets it — sometimes life can be really difficult. He knows and understands this firsthand and often draws on his own experiences as a veteran to help others.

Driving progress

Jeff wakes up every day motivated to make a difference. He understands that everyone needs help at some point in their lives. That said, he knows that having access to a qualified provider that is ready to listen is vital. He is here to fill that need.

His primary goal is to ensure you feel respected. However, he will not not hesitate to challenge you to progress. Even so, Jeff works hard to provide a safe, compassionate, and judgement-free space to drive that progress forward.

Learning never ends

Jeff strives daily to help people achieve their goals. He will often use problem solving and “outside the box” strategies to make goal achieving possible. Part of this “out of the box” thinking comes with recognizing that some of the “lessons learned” in his own life can help his patients. At the same time, Jeff would be the first to say that patients also offer insight and life lessons. These lessons help him grow as a person and as a mental health provider.

Getting care when you need it shows strength. Taking that first step is something to be proud of — truly. It will go miles towards improving your relationships with others and overall happiness with life.
