Jennifer Cormaney, LMSW

(She/Her/Hers)

Licensed Mental Healthcare Provider

"Whether you are 2 or 92; I am hopeful that I can help you through whatever life has given you. Always remember that you are brave. You are strong. You are capable. Therapy is not a sign of weakness, in fact, it's a sign of just how fierce you are and how you are willing to be vulnerable, which is by far one of the hardest things to achieve. "

Jenn brings a well rounded perspective to the therapeutic experience. As someone who has been on both sides of the therapy session, she is well aware of how difficult it can be to open up and be vulnerable.

Understands Mental Health From Both Sides

“Vulnerability is not weakness; it’s our greatest measure of courage.”

Brene Brown

Jenn brings a well rounded perspective to the therapeutic experience. As someone who has been on both sides of the therapy session, she is well aware of how difficult it can be to open up and be vulnerable. However, she also knows the positive impact that can come from therapy when you put the work in.

For this reason, her goal is to bring those positive changes to her patients and provide guidance as they grow into the person they want to be.

Genuine Connection

It is important for Jenn to create and maintain genuine, trusting connections with her patients. By nature she is a very supportive and easy-going person, which proves to be useful in session. Not only does she care for others, but she’s a relatable person and is not afraid to be a human with strengths and weaknesses.

Outside of work, Jenn enjoys spending time with her family, including her three cats, and reading. She especially enjoys reading mystery novels.

Get direction for your life!

Emotions are stupid

Most of our poor decisions and behaviors that we wish we could re-do are driven by our feelings. In most cases we are probably reacting from an emotion and not even really thinking!

Oppositional Defiant Disorder

ODD is one of the most common behavioral disorders among kids. Unfortunately, people exhibiting these behaviors are sometimes mislabeled as "naughty" or "bad," which can be damaging.

Connecting With Your Teen

Regulate your emotions and then engage in co-regulation with your teen from a place of curiosity and compassion.
