Get to Know Laura

Selecting a mental health provider is a very personal decision. Learn a bit more about Laura and what to expect when you or a loved one receive care with us at Covenant Family Solutions. Our mission is to unleash your potential.

Laura Sanchez believes that no one is meant to go through life’s ups and downs on their own. Burdens become much lighter when we support one another. As you or your child’s therapist, she is devoted to helping tackle the tough issues that are blocking your path.

No Stranger to Life’s Ups and Downs

Part of the reason why Laura is so passionate about uplifting others is that she has experienced anxiety and depression herself. This has helped her to further understand, connect, and have a deeper compassion for those in her care.

As a first-generation Mexican American, Laura has faced numerous challenges that have helped shape her strengths. Among these was the loss of her father at a young age. After loosing her father, Laura watched her mother navigate life as a single parent, making many sacrifices along the way. This gave her a unique viewpoint of the hardships that life can bring.

Despite all life’s challenges, Laura knows we all have what it takes to come through on the other side of hardship. That includes you.

What to Expect

When you receive care from Laura, you can expect to be met with support and compassion, no matter what you are facing. She strives to ensure you have a voice as you work together to tackle life’s challenges. A strong believer in collaboration, Laura believes you are the expert of your life.

All people have the ability to create positive change. Those in Laura’s care will be empowered in a non-judgmental and safe space.

Building Your Trust

“Sometimes the place you are used to is not the place you belong.”

Coach Robert Katende

Laura strives to build trust with all those in her care. This allows for a deeper level of focus and understanding of deeper issues. She considers your trust a privilege and I looks forward to partnering together in your self-growth journey towards change.

Everyone Needs Time to Unwind

Part of taking care of your mental health includes taking time to unwind and care for yourself. Laura does this by spendy time with her three spunky cats. She also enjoys water coloring, listening to music, and losing hours designing her island in Animal Crossing.

Are you ready to design your pathway towards positive change? Reach out to schedule your first visit with Laura. She’s in this with you.

Mental health medications and a holistic lifestyle can't just only coexist, the combination can be a game changer for mental health.

You may be faced with the question, “Does my child need medication for their mental health?” If your child is worried, sad, angry, or overwhelmed, encourage them to talk to a trusted adult. If they are struggling with things like regulating emotions, controlling anger, or focusing it may be a good idea to discuss it with a medical professional.

While we cannot change the past, it IS possible to stop the cycle of intergenerational trauma and prevent it in future generations. Community support and resources play an important role.
