Noel Adams, ARNP, PMHNP-BC provides mental health medication management services to patients across a lifespan (age 6+). She has over a decade of experience in healthcare and has helped individuals navigate their mental health in both hospital and clinic settings. Noel is dedicated to providing cutting edge care in the field of mental health medication treatment, and prides herself on providing a patient-centered, and holistic approach unique to each individual. In addition to her work history, Noel received Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) training through the University of Iowa to provide specialized, compassionate care for survivors of sexual assault.

It’s about patient collaboration

As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, her mission is to ensure that each person in her care feels as though they are heard. The patient is just as much a part of their healthcare team as is Noel or any other provider. She supports individuals in gaining confidence and empowering them to be part of developing a cohesive treatment plan for their mental health issues.

There is no “cookie-cutter” solution

Noel helps people — from children to adults — across many different backgrounds and experiences. She recognizes that no person or their situation is identical and their care shouldn’t be either. You are not a number. She strives to support all people in managing their mental health challenges and regain control of their lives.

Mental health is a priority

Noel loves working with individuals and seeing them make progress. She wants you to come as you are, feel comfortable, heard, and valued.

Mental health medications and a holistic lifestyle can't just only coexist, the combination can be a game changer for mental health.

You may be faced with the question, “Does my child need medication for their mental health?” If your child is worried, sad, angry, or overwhelmed, encourage them to talk to a trusted adult. If they are struggling with things like regulating emotions, controlling anger, or focusing it may be a good idea to discuss it with a medical professional.

While we cannot change the past, it IS possible to stop the cycle of intergenerational trauma and prevent it in future generations. Community support and resources play an important role.
