Zara has prior experience working with children and families in a variety of settings including doing ABA therapy with children on the Autism spectrum, residential mental health treatment, foster/adoptive care, and schools. She has worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, grief/loss, and other concerns.
Zara utilizes a strengths-based, solution-focused approach when working with clients to empower and support them in achieving their goals and reaching a healthy level of functioning. She particularly enjoys using play therapy techniques along with elements of narrative and cognitive-behavioral approaches when working with children. She has also had training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
In her spare time, Zara enjoys painting and watching basketball.
