There is a saying, “nothing changes if nothing changes.” Change is scary, life is scary, and talking to someone when you’re not feeling the best can be scary. Reid commends everyone who seeks help and is ready to make a change in their life for the better because that is scary.
He wants you to know that he is not here to fix you, because therapy is not about him telling you what you need to do. Rather, therapy is about empowering you to seek that for yourself in a safe place to explore the areas in your life that YOU believe need to change.
Reid is a very easy going and authentic person. He utilizes humor as a way of breaking the tension and allowing people to be at ease. He enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds, but especially enjoy working with athletes and young adults who are trying to figure everything out in this thing called life. A Dubuque native, Reid has been an athlete himself since he began snowboarding at age six. He even made it to the semi-pro level! In college, he ran track at Clarke University.
It takes a lot of strength to come to therapy for the first time. Change is scary, but therapy shouldn’t be. Please reach out to schedule a visit with Reid to support your brain health.
