Sometimes life likes to throw challenges

Life can be hard. Nina’s personal story through anxiety, depression, ADHD, and overcoming childhood trauma is proof of that reality. She understands.

However, no matter what challenges life has thrown at you, Nina promises to walk alongside you as you work to overcome the obstacles in your way. She will provide you with personalized insight and the skills you need to grow. Please know that when you step into her office, you are walking into a safe, comforting, and empathetic space — free from judgement. You are not alone on this journey.

Experience in tackling touch issues

Prior to joining us at CFS, Nina spent several years working in child welfare. Similar to her own personal experiences as a child, she had the opportunity to be a witness to children overcoming trauma, learning life skills, and learning to trust again. She additionally has experience in helping adults navigate through difficult times to reach the best version of themselves.

It is a privilege to care for you

Nina is thankful to each person who gives her the the privilege to work with them in reaching their individual goals. In her care you (or your loved one) can expect occasional homework and sometimes little challenges along the way.

Mental health therapy isn’t necessarily easy to receive, but it is 100 percent worth it. This work will lead to self-determination and realizing your strength. You CAN overcome difficult times.

Making memories

Outside of the office, Nina enjoys traveling, new adventures, and going on road trips. She loves meeting new people from all walks of life. Most of all, she loves making memories with her family and friends.

Mental health medications and a holistic lifestyle can't just only coexist, the combination can be a game changer for mental health.

You may be faced with the question, “Does my child need medication for their mental health?” If your child is worried, sad, angry, or overwhelmed, encourage them to talk to a trusted adult. If they are struggling with things like regulating emotions, controlling anger, or focusing it may be a good idea to discuss it with a medical professional.

While we cannot change the past, it IS possible to stop the cycle of intergenerational trauma and prevent it in future generations. Community support and resources play an important role.
