Licensed Mental Healthcare Provider

"Healing is not linear. It's a journey that can go at your own speed and together we can find the best way for you to navigate those roads."

Reaching out for mental health services for yourself or your child can feel overwhelming or scary. As your (or your child’s) therapist, you will find Sami to be genuinely emphatic and relatable. Her goal is to support you through whichever season of life you find yourself navigating.

Building Trust

Trust is earned. Sami understands it can be difficult to talk to and share your story with someone. She promises to create a safe and judgement free environment where you can find comfort in your conversations with her. Trust is everything.

#StopTheStigma

Growing up, Sami found there were incredibly limited mental health resources available in her community. At the same time, there was an overwhelming stigma surrounding mental health. Needless to say, accessing mental health services was difficult.

Later, as an adult, Sami spent 20 years as part of the active military community. In this season of life, she again watched as the stigma around mental health remain firmly rooted in place.

Enough is enough. Sami is on a personal mission to break down the stigma that prevents people from reaching out for support when they need it the most. She wants to do her part to provide support so that others can do the same.

Helping You Find Your Voice

“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.”

Charles Dickens

You matter. Sami will support you (or your child) find your voice and feel empowered. She is grateful to be a resource and line of support during that journey. The ultimate reward for Sami is to be able to watch you discover yourself and heal.

Each Day is a New Adventure

Sami and her husband are proud to call Eastern Iowa home. After years of service, Sami’s husband recently retired from the United States Navy, having achieved the rank of Master Chief. Although they love traveling and experiencing new things, Sami and her husband are grateful to (finally) have life settle down a bit. Well, as settled as life can be with their three wild boys and a house full of chaos.

If you would like to start your adventure into discovering your self, please reach out to schedule an appointment with Sami. She would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.

How do you know if your child might have ADHD or if their behavior is typical, albeit a bit overly energetic? The answer is you don’t have to know. Parents and caregivers are not expected to know everything about their children.

When you are suffering from poor sleep hygiene, the impacts can be felt in every part of your life. It is much harder to manage emotions and think clearly when you are tired all the time.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help! Whether it’s from a friend, family member, trusted colleague or a professional, people are out there to help.
